Position Summary:
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the import process for specific accounts. Key responsibilities include organizing and tracking shipments, overseeing costs and transport arrangements, and ensuring all documentation is processed for prompt customs clearance and on-time delivery. The position also requires ongoing communication with overseas agents, and partners, as well as contributing to the efficient operation of the department. This role requires a strong focus on delivering impeccable customer care, ensuring every client receives prompt, professional, and proactive support.

Operational Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely, professional, and solutions-focused support.
  • Maintain a customer-first mindset, going above and beyond to exceed expectations.
  • Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers by engaging in clear, respectful, and proactive communication.
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of air import shipment.
  • Receive and update shipment statuses in a timely manner; issue shipment alerts.
  • Track and Trace air import shipments.
  • Prepare A/N’s, deliver orders, and other import related documentation.
  • Effective communication with internal/external customs brokers.
  • Review commercial documents.
  • Provide pricing and routing guidance to clients, agents, salespeople as necessary.
  • Ensure operational file accounting accuracy and maximum profitability for the organization.
  • Coordinate with our contracted vendors in procuring space and services.
  • Resolve issues quickly and effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Document client feedback, complaints, and suggestions to support continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years minimum prior air import experience preferred.
  • Preferred knowledge or experience includes air and road freight operations, aviation security or related training, such as aviation security, customs procedures and documentation, flight scheduling, freight tariffs and pricing, as well as the ability to prepare and finalize documentation.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Pro-active, persistent and goal-driven, highly organized, personable and approachable, attentive to detail, reliable in seeing tasks through to completion, confident and engaging with commercial awareness.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
  • Willingness to undertake any other duty deemed reasonable by your manager.
  • IATA dangerous goods certification a plus but not required.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 (Depending on experience)
